Chicken Pot Pie

You will need...
1 can cream of chicken soup   
3/4 C. milk
3 C. cut of chicken               
1 16 oz bag of frozen mixed vegetables
1 can of buttermilk biscuits                                                                




Mix everything together, spread on the bottom of a baking dish, and top with biscuits. Bake at 350 F for 45 min. You may want to put foil over the dish for part of the baking time.

It would be really way to hard to make this recipe vegan but leave out the chicken and add beans or more veggies and use cream of celery or mushroom soup to make it vegetarian.

Sugar Cookies

2 C. white sugar                          1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 C. butter or margarine              4 C. flour (white or whole wheat)
3 eggs                                         1 tsp. baking soda
2/3 C. sour cream

Start by creaming your butter and sugar together and then add your eggs one at a time while continually mixing. In a separate small dish add baking soda to your sour cream, let dissolve, and then add to the sugar mixture. Add your flour to the mix one cup at a time. Drop the cookie dough by the tablespoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 F for about 12 minutes.

For vegan cookies substitute 3/4 C. silken tofu or egg replacer (as directed on box) for eggs, sub agave nectar for sugar (use the same amount of nectar as sugar), instead of using sour cream add 1 tbsp of vinegar to 1/4 C. soy milk, and you'll need to add approximately 1/4-1/3 C. more flour.
